When we played Oregon Trail in kindergarten, one kid got in a lot of trouble for naming everybody after the classmates then intentionally killing them by going at a strenuous pace. Mrs. Robinson was a really sensitive teacher that way.

And if that didn’t make me giddy enough, the Facebook version of “Where in the World Is Carmen San Diego” drops just a week later. When I was a kid, I used to get to school early and play “Oregon Trail” on the class Apple IIe before the opening bell rang. (Did I ever NOT make the trip at grueling pace? No, I did not.) So imagine being able to recreate that same thrill two decades later in order to avoid work. This world is a MIRACLE. Count your blessings, people of my generation.
